USD85,000-USD120,000Oversee the successful management of construction projects. Provides leadership to the team with respect to project goals, objectives and client expectations.Ensures efficient coordination of project requirements. Leads the team in cooperative and synergistic efforts with other disciplines on projects.Reviews all reporting systems and procedures and prepares reports to clients and senior management defining progress and cost.Promote and maintain client relationships.Demonstrate effective teamwork through the establishment of successful interpersonal relationships with co-workers and other disciplines within the Company.Develop subcontractors'' interest, receive and review prequalification forms for preparation for bidder''s list.Prepare individual packages for competitive bidding of all project work. Receive, analyze and clarify all bids. Make award recommendations.Negotiate, award and administer all subcontracts, purchase orders and change orders.Establish and monitor project costs and schedule.Perform frequent job site inspections and project progress meetings.Receive, review and process all vendor submittals including expediting delivery of materials and equipment.Prepare all required project status reports to inform and coordinate with client.Assemble, review and transmit all project closeout information (i.e. as-builts, warranties) and provide required warranty follow-up.Develop and implement site utilization plan and establishes needed crew sizesAssure construction schedules are maintained by trade contractorsDevelop, update and review on a frequent and regular basis, project schedule and 3-week look ahead, daily reports, safety checklists, and ensures onsite adherence to company insurance policiesMaintain quality control by frequent and regular inspection of work in progress and completed projectsProvide proactive and intentional leadership in developing the safety culture on the project site. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management5-10 years of successful construction project management experience on diverse projects.Strong knowledge of construction engineering principals: materials, methods, sequencing, scheduling, and estimatingStrong knowledge of construction industry including laws, contracts, and accountingUnderstanding of insurance and related issues including liability aspects and claims avoidanceAbility to interpret construction documentsStrong knowledge of field construction: systems, practices, safety and proceduresWorking knowledge of Prolog and Microsoft ProjectExperience with ACC Build is a plusProficiency in Word, Excel, OutlookStrong interpersonal and communication skillsTravel is required (25%)Our client is an established and well respected 100 year old Architecture, Engineering and Construction firm.
