General Summary
The Manager, Financial Analytics will be a hands-on manager who demonstrates strategic thinking. The right candidate will be an excellent communicator and analytically adept, with firsthand experience designing, and deploying visualization and analytic solutions. Ideal candidates must demonstrate strong customer focus, leadership, and the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This role requires technical expertise with solid proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and advanced Excel skills to supervise and guide a variety of healthcare analytics and data projects while collaborating with the financial data team. Key responsibilities include developing staff; consciously encouraging an organizational culture that drives innovation, collaboration, and customer focus while fostering a sense of urgency toward business success.

Principal Responsibilities
The Manager,Financial Analytics will:

  • Manage and mentor a team of analysts
  • Understand and manage the data needs of different stakeholders across multiple business verticals including Clinical Operations, Finance, Marketing, etc.
  • Collaborate on the data roadmap for information delivery and management across the organization; including evolution of data warehousing, analytics, and visualization resources
  • Provide leadership in developing visualization standards and department reporting/analytic best practices
  • Work effectively with all stakeholders both technical and business to facilitate access to data and insights
  • Develop training procedures for other analysts to provide guidance on a variety of projects
  • Implement reports and analytics to drive progress towards business objectives
  • Develop talent and steer career growth within the team
  • Supervise the larger technical direction of projects
  • Perform all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of Shirley Ryan AbilityLab


    Reporting Relationships

  • Reports directly to the VP, Corporate Finance.




    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or equivalent experience in the healthcare industry; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of work experience in healthcare analytics and/or data management roles.
  • 2+ years of work experience in people management.
  • Established track record of partnering with business leaders to build and strategize technology and data solutions.
  • Excellent communication, adaptability, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong technical background with proficiency in Microsoft SQL and advanced Excel skills.
  • The ability to perform well under pressure, and adjust to changing priorities, while maintaining an elevated level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet urgent deadlines.
  • The ability to work well independently as well as a team member.
  • Prioritize backlog items across the Finance team and allocate resources to meet business and data delivery goals.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills; comfortable explaining technical topics to non-technical users.





    Working Conditions

  • Normal office environment with little or no exposure to dust or extreme temperature.
