*A joint venture partnership with Select Medical and RUSH* Opening in January 2024, Select Medical and Rush University System for Health celebrate the new RUSH Specialty Hospital opening on Chicago's West Side. Together as partners, they will deliver a world-class acute to post-acute continuum of care for Chicago. The 100-bed facility combines both critical illness recovery and inpatient rehabilitation hospitals on the RUSH University Medical Center campus. The hospital features 44 critical illness recovery and 56 inpatient rehabilitation beds. In addition to the new RUSH Specialty Hospital, Select Medical contributed 63 of its outpatient centers to the joint venture. Today, those locations are rebranded RUSH Physical Therapy, and the footprint has expanded to 71 centers, including 19 dedicated to pediatrics under the RUSH Kids Physical Therapy brand. The CEO role is an excellent opportunity to provide hands-on hospital operations management in a critical care environment. The CEO will provide hands-on leadership, strategic direction and operations management with a focus on business development, exceptional quality patient care and fiscal accountability. We are seeking a professional who can analyze complex situations and execute decisions effectively. The right candidate will display high personal integrity, positivity and the ability to operate effectively under pressure. Must be a hands on self-starter who can assume broad responsibility in a dynamic, challenging healthcare environment.

• Performs daily rounds on nursing floor, communicating with patients, families and staff.
• Complies with regulatory obligations and possesses ownership of the Complaint-Grievance Process.
• Ensures hospital's overall compliance with State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations.
• Focuses on employee engagement.
• Personally creates, continually cultivates and owns a Top 10 Key Business Development Relationship list.
• Knows, understands and effectively implements the Corporate Case Management and PPS Model.
• Prepares an Annual Operating Budget, a 3 year Capital Budget and a Strategic Plan that is presented and approved by the Governing Board.
• Maintains a high ethical standard. Consistently behaves in a professional and ethical manner, adhering to all policies related. Meets and abides by all compliance, HIPAA and professional standards. Qualifications Qualified candidates will have 5 to 7 years senior experience in hospital operations, finance, strategic planning, and community education of health programs. The ideal candidate will also have a strong commitment to authentic leadership, outstanding customer service and continuing program development in a dynamic and highly competitive healthcare market.
  • Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, business or related discipline required.
  • Minimum of three to five years in operations and/or management within the healthcare industry with proven outcomes required.
  • Prior acute inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, or specialty hospital experience is preferred.
  • A strong dedication to authentic leadership, exceptional customer service and continuing program development.
