Job Title: Engineering and Maintenance Manager
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee and manage the Maintenance Departments at our NWF Liquids Products division. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering and significant experience managing maintenance operations in the food industry. This person will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance operations are carried out in a safe, efficient, and timely manner while meeting all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Delegate projects to internal staff and ensure timely project development and execution.
Participate in Operations meetings to stay informed of current issues and needs.
Develop and manage the Maintenance budget including labor and supplies required to service the operation. Identify opportunities for cost reduction
Develop, implement and maintain a proactive maintenance program which includes regularly scheduled inspections and servicing of equipment and facilities to help drive efficiency improvements.
Ensure storeroom items inventory levels are managed with appropriate min/max levels such that spare parts stockouts are eliminated for key production lines.
Lead the TPM PM Pillar. Work with other Pillar leads to help fully implement TPM methodologies
Ensure a Maintenance training matrix is used to ensure that the requisite maintenance skills required for an efficient operation are available on all shifts.
Monitor and analyze equipment performance to identify potential issues and recommend solutions to eliminate breakdowns and maximize productivity
Manage and oversee maintenance staff, including the Maintenance supervisors, contractors, and vendors to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to required standards
Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including production and quality control departments, to ensure alignment of maintenance goals with business objectives
Provide input to help develop a long range capital budget which addresses business needs due to:
Production expansion support
Equipment obsolescence
Production efficiency gains
Building maintenance requirements
Environmental compliance
Safety, Food Safety and Health compliance
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred
At least 5 years of experience in a maintenance management role in the food industry
Strong technical skills and knowledge of food processing equipment and machinery
Experience with implementing preventive maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, including food safety, environmental, health, and safety regulations
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders
Experience managing capital projects
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
