The Procurement Sustainability Manager position will support Navistar's vision through the creation and implementation of Business Partner Due Diligence, Decarbonization, Circular business, and Sustainable Sourcing strategies across our supplier network. In this role, the Procurement Sustainability Manager will interact with both internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute meaningful strategies that action areas with the greatest impact. Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to progress Navistar's sustainability objectives
• Lead activities around business partner due diligence, social sustainability, purchased goods decarbonization and product lifecycle
• Analyze data related to emissions and supplier network to identify and act on environmental, social, and compliance risks and opportunities
• Work with category management teams and suppliers to improve sustainability performance within the defined areas
• Research regulations, emerging trends, global markets, new technologies and benchmark data
• Develop, maintain, and communicate executive level reporting metrics and plans
• Actively engage with key stakeholders to communicate, educate, and solicit feedback on Navistar procurement's sustainability strategies to drive continuous improvement Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 8 years of purchasing/procurement experience
  • At least 1 year of lead experienceOR
    • Master's degree
    • At least 6 years of purchasing/procurement experience
    • At least 1 year of lead experienceOR
      • At least 10 years of purchasing/procurement experience
      • At least 1 year of lead experience Additional Requirements
        • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.           • Procurement background with experience in the automotive or commercial vehicle industries or manufacturing preferred
          • Background in sustainability, ESG, or corporate social responsibility
          • Experience developing strategies and discovering new solutions
          • Effective team-player who is comfortable working cross-functionally and with external stakeholders
          • Confident, articulate, and professional communication abilities
          • Excellent time management skills - can organize and prioritize multiple projects and meet specific deadlines
          • Ability to understand regulatory and reporting requirements, and technical concepts
          • Skilled at developing executive level presentations
          • Strong analytical skills
