Maintenance & Reliability Manager - Fortune 500 Manufacturing Company
A major manufacturing company in the Chicago, IL area is seeking a Maintenance & Reliability Manager for their manufacturing plant. This role will oversee maintenance supervisors and indirect unionized skilled trade employees in a 24/7 food manufacturing environment. The right candidate will have an engineering degree, union leadership experience, and a strong track record of Maintenance & Reliability ownership from a strong company. Compensation: $135,000 - $145,000 Base Salary + 12-14% bonus. Relocation Package / Sign-On Bonus. Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD, 401k match, 15-20 days PTO.Responsibilities:
Lead
and enhance maintenance processes for optimal performance.
Implement
Lean Six Sigma methodologies, focusing on zero breakdowns and preventive
maintenance strategies.
Coach
and mentor the maintenance team, fostering a culture of continuous
improvement and technical excellence.
Ensure
adherence to company standards and safety regulations and manage
maintenance activities to maintain equipment efficiency and minimize
downtime.
Oversee
predictive and preventive maintenance plans, utilizing data trends to
inform decisions.
Coordinate
training programs for maintenance and operations teams on best practices
and improvements.
Utilize
SAP PM for maintenance management, including work orders and spare parts
inventory control.
Support
the implementation of new projects through the Early Management Pillar
Methodology.
Lead
engineering and maintenance projects, ensuring alignment with
organizational goals.
Participate
in improvement groups and manage maintenance budgets effectively.
Provide
prompt service to internal and external customers and maintain materials
and equipment organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's
degree in engineering.
Minimum
of five years' experience in a Maintenance Leadership role.
Strong
background in TPM, LEAN, Six Sigma, Safety & GMP standards.
Proficient
in SAP PM module and spare parts management.
Excellent
communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Experience
in the food industry and a union environment is preferred.
