The Director, Programmatic will lead the strategy and development
of Rise's programmatic practice with a strong emphasis on client
engagement. This role is focused on driving programmatic
performance through collaboration with clients, optimizing
campaigns, and providing thought leadership and future-forward
thinking. In addition to managing internal best practices, channel
standardization, and training, the Director will actively
participate in client strategy discussions, serve as a programmatic
subject matter expert, and support new business development.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the programmatic
landscape-spanning channels, platforms, and technologies-and a
passion for how it impacts the customer journey. As a leader, the
Director will foster collaboration across the organization, driving
innovation and ensuring alignment with client goals. Success in
this role will be measured by the ability to deliver strong client
results while advancing the programmatic practice.
Key Responsibilities
Create and deliver insightful and persuasive presentations to
clients and prospects.
Lead a team of managers and staff in delivering exceptional results
across several clients.
Educate, ideate and support training teams in the development of
programmatic strategies, best practices, and idea generation;
ensure teams are set-up to support the media planning and buying
process including research, plan development, campaign set-up,
launch, and optimization.
Partner w/the Director, Partnerships to cultivate strong
relationships with programmatic partners, including but not limited
to DSPs, Ad Servers, measurement tools, inventory partners
audience/contextual targeting partners, DCO providers, and
DMPs.
Maintain and communicate ongoing updates to programmatic marketing
to broader teams.
Oversee channel revenue growth and key departmental project
initiatives that have a strategic and organizational-wide impact,
to include piloting new test programs and rolling out successful
pilot programs to the broader programmatic team.
Oversee agency processes to ensure execution, optimization, and
best practices are followed across teams; identify and develop new
workflow processes as needed to ensure maximum team efficiency.
Lead the development and implementation of best practices in
programmatic marketing for clients across Rise; oversee
company-wide initiatives related to advancements in the
programmatic space; identify gaps in process or strategic vision,
lead the charge on developing a solution then circulating and
enacting change within the agency.
Identify and develop new reporting standards for clients to enhance
storytelling around success of programmatic media.
Maintain and communicate ongoing updates to programmatic marketing
to broader teams.
Participate in new business activities and pitches, as assigned,
including the development of RFP responses, proposals and
presentations
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree (communications, marketing,
advertising, or business preferred)
Experience
5-7+ years of digital marketing experience with focus in
programmatic advertising required. Agency experience a plus.
2+ years of people management experience or equivalent professional
training.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Certificates in Google Ads,
DV360, Google Campaign Manager, Google Analytics, The Trade Desk
strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong understanding of programmatic media buying for display,
video, mobile.
Strong knowledge of how to develop programmatic media strategy no
matter the vertical or the media goal.
Strong knowledge with managing branding, consideration, and
acquisition campaigns. Full understanding of metrics used to
evaluate these types of campaigns.
Firm understanding of Ad Serving, DSP, DMP, cross device, DCO, PMP
media technologies.
Experience with web-based research tools, and methodologies and
digital analytics.
Consistent track record for pitching programmatic campaigns,
growing revenue, and building strong relationships with key
decision makers.
