Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience 3 to 5 plus years of direct work related experience Coursework in Economics, Finance, or Business Administration and FRS Examination program Knowledge and Skills Experience with SAS and SQL preferred Demonstrates independent thinking and decision-making abilities Demonstrates strong written and oral communication abilities Possesses and applies both specific and broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the field of specialization to the completion of assignments



Responsibilities:


Job Summary Collects and organizes financial, technical, statistical, operational, or examination data for report preparation and analysis. Responds to and researches basic data and basic regulatory issues/questions from bankers, examiners, and Board Staff. Follows-up with customers to ensure their issues have been resolved. Develops and maintains communication vehicles to disseminate information to key constituents throughout the division, the department and the system. Independently researches and writes comprehensive analysis on topics related to market, financial or other data. May provide input on training, goal development and guidance to staff. The level of work required is considered intermediate and staff must be able to work under general supervision. This job does not have any direct reports. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Independently researches and writes comprehensive analysis on topics related to market, financial, or other data Responds to and researches data and regulatory issues/questions from bankers, examiners, and Board Staff. Follows-up with customers to ensure their issues have been resolved Conducts research and development on analytical tools to provide support to examination teams Trains and provides guidance to lower-level analysts Develops and maintains communication vehicles to disseminate information to key constituents throughout the division, the department and the system Maintains a working knowledge of emerging issues, trends, and ongoing developments in the financial services industry, including current accounting and financial reporting standards Collects and organizes financial, technical, statistical, operational, or examination data for report preparation and analysis, for inclusion in pre scope packets, or for inclusion in formal presentations developed and presented by the analyst Continues training in data analysis and query techniques and continue selected examiner training May manipulate data from a variety of sources such as NIC, Bloomberg, Evolve and FDIC databases. Interprets information and reviews data in order to make decisions, establish priorities and develop hypotheses to facilitate the understanding of events Presents analysis to a variety of audiences. Organizes presentations and roundtables on banking issues performs other duties as assigned. Compliance Resource Team Specific: Analyzes demographic and economic data as well as the social characteristics of a particular community gains and utilizes advanced knowledge of specialized databases as they pertain to Fair Lending, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and CRA regulations Contributes to the activities within the Examination Resource Team that support the core business line of Compliance/CRA examination, including gaining a advanced knowledge of HMDA processing and responding to related questions from management, examiners and bankers May assist on compliance and CRA examinations at Large complex institutions. Surveillance Team Specific: Utilizes technology and various information sources to monitor/analyze District state member banks and holding companies, with an emphasis on identifying emerging problems and other areas of concern Acts as coordinator for internal monitoring programs Provides information and analysis to examiner staff which aids their pre-exam planning and other supervisory activities Develops pr We are an equal employment opportunity employer and will consider all qualified candidates without regard to disability or protected veteran status.
