Job Summary The Director of Dining Services is an exciting opportunity for an energetic, entrepreneurial manager who is constantly seeking a better way to conduct business. This key leadership position is directly responsible for the successful operation of Dining Services. The Director ensures client and customer satisfaction with efficient, cost-effective management that exceeds expectations. Responsibilities include all foodservice-related activities such as retail, cafeteria, catering, quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, and client-related activities. Location and Travel: Based in Chicagoland, supporting units in CHICAGOLAND/SUBURBS, with up to 25% travel to support non-local Flik locations. Schedules vary, primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage salaried managers and hourly associates in Food Service Department
• Oversee overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the account
• Hire, train, assign, evaluate, reward, discipline staff, and resolve issues
• Prepare and manage the annual budget
• Utilize company systems for reporting (inventory, cash, production, payroll, etc.)
• Ensure food preparation and service meet standards for quality, sanitation, safety (HACCP, OSHA), and portion control
• Perform other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications:

• B.S. in Food Services Technology/Management or related; or A.A. plus four years related experience
• Five to seven years of foodservice management experience, including inventory and purchasing control
• Knowledge of food and catering trends, quality, sanitation, food costs, presentation
• Experience with P&L or contract-managed services preferred
• Strong leadership, supervisory, and coaching skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Financial and budget management skills
• Proficiency with computer systems, MS Office, email, internet
