Health Operations Director 19000E35 UNITED STATES-IL-CHICAGO AP Specialized Insurance Regular Day Job Full-time The Director of Health Operations executes the vision for the Health business which is growing thanks to the recent securing of a large new program. Our business model needs to rapidly evolve insuring that the needs of both our customer base and our organization are met. This position is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of all activities supporting the claims process and cost containment business. The successful Director is continually engaged in leading and inspiring their team through developing and documenting best practices, and leveraging technology for both efficiency and customer journey improvements. The Director's success is measured by the organization's ability to provide high quality services while meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA), improving team's performance, adaptation of new proven technologies to increase efficiency, and achievement of metrics. The leader in this role actively contributes to the overall company operational targets as well as the daily business decisions. Key Responsibilities: - Member of Operations Leadership team, responsible for developing and managing the annual business plan and department budget to attain business goals with operational stability. - Provide strong, dynamic leadership that mentors, develops, and guides team members to provide an exceptional level of service through every customer contact. - Responsible to spearhead change management strategies to achieve dramatically improved productivity and service performance level in line with the global AXA transformation plan. - Ability to lead talent development and drive transformational process improvements projects. - Play a vital role in development of successful new services for Health line of business by providing comprehensive feasibility studies, business proposals, executive presentations, and exceptional operational execution. - Develop standardize workflow processes by utilizing Lean methodologies to minimize variation, reduce waste and create uniformity and consistency. - Deliver results against a defined scope of work that includes measurable ROI, strategic innovation and performance reporting. - Develop solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy of claims handling procedures and software. - Develop and maintains long-term, personal Business-to-Business senior level relationships with key client prospects, intermediaries and partners. - Collaborate closely with other departments to develop and maintain effective organization of responsibility, including efficient recruiting, training, coaching, recognition, workflow patterns, performance standards, staffing levels and supervision. - Manage outsourced translation vendors by confirming adherence to contractual obligations and monitoring production. - Manage high-level escalations and develop action plans to address reoccurring issues. Minimum Education Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in business or related fieldWork Experience: - 5 years' experience working in the health insurance industry - 10 years of management experience, with majority of experience managing large teams - 5 years' experience in direct client interaction with both internal and external customers - Experience successfully managing a Profit & Loss Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database software; Internet software; Advance expertise with Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. - Demonstrated ability to effectively coach, mentor and develop direct reports - Ability to create a motivational environment that inspires others to excel - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Master's Degree preferred - Experience in cost containment and TPA business - Exposure to Work Force Management principlesnsura - Insurance certifications, preferred not required.
