# Job Summary: The Manager of Government Grants and Contracts, reporting to Campaign Director, is an integral member of the development team helping to secure funding from Federal, State and Local government agencies for Saint Anthony Hospital Foundation (SAHF) and the Focal Point Community Campus (FPCC). This individual will be responsible for the full pre- and post-award grants management process including identification, preparation, submission, reporting#and management of a portfolio of applications and awards from public funding sources. The Manager will work with leadership across Saint Anthony Hospital (SAH)#clinical and administrative departments to facilitate program development; identify sustainable and effective public funding sources; seek new resources for public support; maintain and renew current public grants, reporting as appropriate; create and implement,with Finance and other appropriate SAH departments, procedures, policies, tracking and compliance systems; organize and lead site visits; and maintain relationships with public funders. Job Requirements: Bachelor#s degree in related field or equivalent in work experience. 4+ years of related experience with federal, state and/or local government grants and contracts. Proven track record in successful facilitation of program development; preparation, writing and submission of public grants. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure and produce quality work within tight time constraints. Proficient in research, interpreting and analyzing diverse data. Ability to work collaboratively and independently to achieve goals. Preference given to candidates with healthcare/medical work history. Essential Functions: Coordinate submission of all public grant applications, awards, amendments, reports, renewals, and other contract documents, as needed to various external public funders. Develop and maintain contract and grant management systems, policies, and procedures in collaboration with Finance, Community, HR and other related SAH departments, as appropriate. Provide analyses and recommendations around system changes to address a broad range of contract and grant management needs. Prepare and regularly maintain the calendar of public funding prospects and funders, deadlines, reports, site visits, renewals, etc. Convene assigned representatives from Finance, Community, HR and other related SAH departments as appropriate to: Review public grant prospects and determine suitability for submission; Direct team members (Finance, Community, HR, etc.) in developing their portions of public grant applications and proposals; Regularly prepare narratives for said grant opportunities; Ensure all parties adhere to timelines and timely submission of applications and proposals; Conduct a quality control review of all proposals before submission to ensure each application meets proposal and policy requirements; Review agreement terms and conditions with entire team to ensure compliance; Once grants are awarded, convene same team regularly to monitor compliance, data tracking, address emergent issues and institute course correction when necessary. Serve as administrator for federal, state, and local agency databases. Complete annual agency registrations and certifications. Work collaboratively with Finance, Community, HR, Development and external funder staff to implement technical aspects of grant administration. Provide recommendations on training needs of administrative and program staff in contract and grant management. May provide related training. Catalogue grant awards in database and maintain electronic/hard copy files. Negotiate grant and contract terms and resolve issues with a high degree of customer service. Attend conferences, meetings, and training sessions pertaining to funding opportunities and grant administration. ##EOEM/F/D/V
