Clinical Research Nurse
13148 37-42.00 an hour w2 contract
Hours, all shifts with emphasis of 8 or 12 hour night shift on the weekend (7pm to 7am or 11pm to 7am). Hours can be 0 to 20
Some day or PM shifts may be available

There are Holiday hours as well.
Training for this position can take up to 6 weeks and will work on all 3 shifts during this time

Overview Statement:
The Contract Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) is an individual who assists in the initiation, execution, and completion of study-related activities performed at the ACPRU for Phase 1 Clinical Research Studies.

Core Job Responsibilities:
Participate in the execution of study-related activities of a Phase 1 clinical research study conducted at the ACPRU.
Maintain safety and confidentiality of study subjects throughout the study.
Evaluate adverse events and manage safety reporting activities in a timely manner.
Review protocols and informed consent forms for studies scheduled at the ACPRU, recognize and communicate potential issues to the appropriate personnel.
Participate in nursing study related activities (such as starting IV, dosing, etc.) as required by protocol in compliance with internal (AbbVie, ACPRU) SOPs and external (CFR, ICH, GCP) regulatory guidelines.
Communicate with the Principal Investigator and other study physicians, Recruiting/Screening, Data Systems, and other personnel to organize study-specific nursing activities.
Maintain accurate and complete source data in PIMS and/or other source documents and facilitate the resolution of source discrepancies or issues, as appropriate.
Assist in the recruitment and screening activities, as applicable, to ensure successful enrollment of volunteers into studies scheduled at the ACPRU.
Other duties as assigned

General ACPRU Expectations:

Arrive to work on time with the mindset of completing scheduled events upon entering the unit. Notify Manager and Nurses Station when there is a possibility of tardiness or absence.
Be proactive in completing required training on time and efficiently utilize down time to maintain a satisfactory level of training compliance. Also, schedule time to regularly read and respond to interoffice emails, as appropriate.
Refrain from use and carrying of personal cell phones during work hours. Personal calls are allowed during rest/meal breaks and are limited to the staff break room or outside of the unit.
Computer internet access for personal use is strictly prohibited during work time. Also, refrain from the use of any other personal electronic devices during work time.
Adhere to scheduled meal break assignments and limit personal activities to outside of the unit, including smoking breaks. For smokers, please ensure that you smoke only in designated smoking areas and police after yourself. Please be sure to inform the Lead Tech or CRN on duty prior to leaving the unit to ensure adequate staffing coverage.
Maintain open communication with the Manager, Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator, and/or technical staff to ensure that all aspects of the study has been completed and is ready for use prior to designated study event times.
Adhere to the standard unit dress code (e.g. business casual, and/or scrubs may be worn) and relevant personal protection equipment (PPE) requirements while on duty.
