Demonstrated clinical expertise in adult and pediatric patients, proficient with simple procedures, excellent communication skills preferred.Qualifications:Nurse Practitioner: Master's degree or Doctorate degree from accredited program nurse practitioner program (CCNE/NLNAC), Current ANCC/AANP and licensed in the State of Illinois. Current American Heart Associate Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Current Controlled Substance licensure requiredA minimum of 2 years, experience preferred. Experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care preferred. Please complete the online application at AssistantThe Physician Assistant (PA) provides comprehensive health care for an assigned patient population as determined by the scope of practice guidelines and specialty and consults/confers with supervising physicians. This includes completion of a health assessment, determining diagnosis, planning and prescribing treatment within the parameters of medical staff privileges and area of expertise. The PA participates in the educational experiences of student learners in multiple health disciplines.Qualifications:Graduation from an accredited PA program. Current license as a Physician Assistant in the State of Illinois required. 2 years PA experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent care setting preferred. Current American Heart Associate Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Current Controlled Substance licensure required. Current National Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA). Effective communication skills (oral and written) that facilitate therapeutic relationships between physicians, PA providers as well as multi-disciplinary care team. Demonstrated experience in leadership, multidisciplinary collaboration, interpersonal communication, education, clinical experience. Ability to meet all requirements for medical staff privileges.All full-time or part time physician assistants caring for children in the emergency department shall successfully complete and maintain current recognition in one of the following: the AHA-AAP PALS, the ACEPAAP APLS or the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), PALS, APLS, and ENPC shall include both cognitive and practical skill evaluation.All physician assistants caring for children in the emergency department and fast track/urgent care area shall have documentation of a minimum of 16 hours of continuing education in pediatric emergency topics every two years that are approved by an accrediting agency.
