team!This--Contract-to-Hire--role as a--Occupational Health
Representative--in--Chicago, IL--will be responsible for providing
internal consultation and performing administrative and clerical
activities involving Medical Leaves of Absence (MLOA) and
accommodations: Americans with Disabilities Act/ADA requests,
Family and Medical Leave, Short Term Disability and Workers'
Compensation. This role is--Remote, but must live near Chicago, IL,
Richardson, TX, Tulsa, OK, Albuquerque, NM, or Helena,
MT.Responsibilities:--
- Initial ADA Case Intake Review/Triage
- Ensure forms are complete and have required information before
clinician review (ES handles primary review)
- Send follow-ups and reminders for missing items
- Follow-up on temporary ADA approvals - track temporary
approvals and pre-emptively/proactively:
- Advise EE of next steps for further consideration
- Provide updated forms for completion for employees as well as
candidates
- Make initial review of completed forms, then refer to OHN once
case ready for final review & determination
- Create companion cases related to ES or payroll as part of
leaves management and WFS consultation processes
- Assist with internal OHS metrics analytics review &
reporting
- Project Manager for OHS projects and/or wellness initiatives
supporting Motiva-vaccines, biometric screenings onsite, ergonomics
program i.e.) [In support of OHS Manager who is Primary/Owner]
- Responsible for data management in OHS shared
drives/folders/TEAM sites, archiving obsolete files, organizing new
or relocation of remaining files
- Accountable for documenting/formalizing, editing, and storing
SOP's templates, Decision Trees & new templates; completing WFS
Playbook updates for any OHS related processes.
- Collaborate with OHS Manager to create sub-page of Workforce
Solutions for OHS
- Monitor and notify HRAdmin Portal of any updates or changes
needed on myHR, Workforce Solutions and proposed OHS sub page of
Workforce Solutions playbook.
- Support OHS Manager and Occupational Health Nurses as OHS Dept.
needs arise including processing worker's compensation forms,
ordering ergonomic and other equipment as approved RTW or ADA
Accommodations and scheduling virtual meetings.Requirements:
- Bachelor degree and 2 years' experience in human resources or
business OR 6 year of human resources or business
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of medical and drug
testing information.
- Familiarity with principles and practices of operations flow,
delivery of business services, and the impact on customer and
corporate deliverables.
- Must be service oriented and have the desire to serve the
customer.
- Effective consultation, verbal, written, and interpersonal
communication skills.
- Familiarity with principles and practices of operations flow,
delivery of business services, and the impact on customer and
corporate deliverables.
- 3 years' experience in human resources or business environment
which requires demonstrated project management skills and the
ability to supply or gather information concisely without loss of
detail.
- Must be service oriented and have the desire to serve the
customer.
- Effective consultation, verbal, written, and interpersonal
communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical, research and documentation skills to
include excellent writing skills.
- Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Must be highly detailed yet able to manage broad and varied
responsibilities.
- Working knowledge of Access, Word, and Excel.
- 20%-30% travel required.
- Able to read and interpret policies and procedures.Preferred
Requirements:
- Please note that the ideal candidate will have experience
working in Human Resources working with FMLA and ADA guidelines,
Workers Compensation Laws, OSHA and BLS reporting requirements,
Workplace Occupational Health & Safety including disability case
management with emphasis on return to work.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Familiarity with Recordables system and Workday.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations related to Workplace Leaves,
Accommodations and Disability.
- Familiarity with Federal and State employment and labor
