Job Description:
Public Health Nurse IVMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's degree in Nursing accredited by the National League
for Nursing or an approved foreign credential evaluation and a
Master's degree in Nursing or Public Health PLUS three years of
public health nursing experience, of which one year is in a
supervisory role related to the responsibilities of the position,
or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Licensure, Certification, or Other Qualifications:
Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse. Applicants must
possess a valid State of Illinois Registered Nurse license at the
time of employment
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
This position requires applicants to complete an interview which
will include a written exercise and/or a skills assessment test as
part of the interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the
qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the
position, based on the oral and written parts of the interview will
be selected.
Preference will be given to candidates possessing the
following:
* Experience working in maternal and infant with a particular
interest in QA/QI work and process improvement.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to manage and support a team of supervisors to build and
maintain relationships with community partners as well as hospital
partners
* A minimum of three years' experience in supervision and program
management
