Summary:
This Master's prepared Social Worker is an integral member of the
Rush Community Based Practices (CPB) team who delivers group based
mental health care in a high school setting as part of a violence
prevention research study. This role works in collaborative
relationships with the study team, school partners, and other
members of the CBP team to execute study activities and conduct a
group-based intervention. The social worker is an expert in
biopsychosocial assessment, mental health issues, and group
facilitation. The individual who holds this position understands
population management especially as it pertains to children and
adolescents, exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and
acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures, including
complying with all Rush University Medical Center Customer Service
Standards.
This Master's prepared behavioral health specialist is an integral
member of the Rush Community Based Practices (CBP) team who
delivers group based mental health care in a high school setting as
part of a violence prevention research study. This role works in
collaborative relationships with the study team, school partners,
and other members of the CBP team to execute study activities and
conduct a group-based intervention. The behavioral health
specialist is an expert in biopsychosocial assessment, mental
health issues, and group facilitation. This is a grant position,
fully funded through June 2025. The social worker for this position
will work on a research study for which Rush is a subcontractor of
DePaul University. The individual who holds this position
understands population management especially as it pertains to
children and adolescents, exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and
values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures,
including complying with all Rush University Medical Center
Customer Service Standards.
Responsibilities:
--- Identifies and builds relationships with school leaders and
behavioral health teams to facilitate study activities within the
school setting
--- Collaborates with CBP team for referral of students in need of
social work and behavioral health services.
--- Conducts and reviews comprehensive risk assessments of students
and families to develop plan of care in accordance with study
protocols.
--- Delivers group intervention sessions in accordance with study
protocols
--- Facilitates communication between students, care team, and
community-based providers to ensure continuity of care as it
relates to the study.
--- Ensures that all study targets, requirements, and deliverables
are met and completed on schedule and within budget.
--- Effectively collaborates with study teams within and outside of
the Rush system.
--- Maintains accurate data collection as it relates to the
study.
--- Attends individual and group supervision meetings for study
personnel as well as relevant trainings.
--- Performs related duties as required.

Required Job Qualifications:
--- Master's degree in Social Work.
--- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in preferably in
community or school setting.
--- Understands and able to implement trauma-informed practices
--- Demonstrated ability to work on an interprofessional team,
enhancing team function and communication
--- Ability to adhere to study protocols.
--- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Computer
knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint is a plus)
--- Excellent negotiation, delegation, time management and
problem-solving skills.
--- Strong assessment and intervention skills with a diverse
population.
--- Demonstrated ability to triage and manage own work.
--- Demonstrates customer-focused service skills; patient centered,
problem solving advocate.
--- Demonstrated ability to work on a multidisciplinary team,
enhancing team function and communication.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
--- Current LCSW licensure in the State of Illinois.
--- Behavioral health experience.
