Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to staff to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness in patient rooms and public areas.
  
• Assist in hiring, evaluating, counseling, and disciplining department employees.
  
• Train new employees and implement department training programs as new methods or techniques are adopted.
  
• Manage employee schedules, monitor attendance, and maintain current records of staff.
  
• Assign routine and non-routine tasks to departmental employees.
  
• Inspect assigned areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met, and address any deficiencies.
  
• Check storage rooms and carts for organization, cleanliness, and supply levels.
  
• Perform administrative duties as assigned.
  
• Ensure employees adhere to hospital dress code and grooming standards.
  
• Maintain adequate shift coverage in a cost-effective manner.
  
• Assist with ordering and stocking supplies.
  
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  Requirements
  
  
• One or more years of relevant experience.
  
• High school diploma or equivalent.
  
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is highly preferred.
