ER RN Job Details - Location: Harvey, IL 60426 – Convenient access to Chicago healthcare jobs, culture, dining, and entertainment in a welcoming suburban community. - Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract - Unit: Emergency Department (ED) - Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30) - Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/17/2025 – End: 2/16/2026) - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570 - $1610 - Patient Ratio: 1:4 - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend - Charting System: Epic Registered Nurse Qualifications - Active Illinois RN license (required at time of submission) - Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN experience - Experience in an urban, Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department required - Teaching hospital experience preferred - BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required - TNCC and CPI certifications strongly preferred - Ability to float to other clinical units as needed - COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered) - Passing EKG strip test required at orientation - Two professional references required (one from direct supervisor/manager) - Maximum 7 days of requested time off during contract Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities - Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages in a busy ED - Perform triage, assessment, and rapid interventions for trauma, medical, and behavioral emergencies - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services - Accurately document patient care using Epic charting system - Participate in ongoing education and training in a teaching hospital environment - Float to other nursing units as required to support patient care needs - Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and procedures Ready to join one of the top Illinois nursing jobs in emergency care?
