Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, evenings - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with strong scrub and circulate skills and a current IL RN license for a level 1 trauma assignment. Responsibilities - Position is in the Operating Room of a level 1 trauma center - Assignment is for evening shifts (5x8s), 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm - Call required: one 12-hour shift per month on a Saturday or Sunday, either day or night - Weekend shifts required every other weekend or two weekends per month - Mandatory floating to other units or Cook facilities within a 50-mile radius as needed - Patient population includes trauma, ortho, ortho trauma, vascular, urology, and general surgery cases - Experience with Cerner EMR is required - Responsibilities include circulating, scrubbing, and providing care in a high-acuity operating room environment - Preferred experience in neurosurgery (crani/spine), open heart/thoracic, ophthalmology, ENT, bariatric, and gynecology - Navy blue scrubs are provided - Parking is available at a nearby lot with shuttle service for a nominal daily fee - No block scheduling or special scheduling requests will be approved - Maximum 5 days of RTO allowed, no more than 2 consecutive days, no weekend or holiday RTO permitted - Must be willing to float to other units or facilities and adjust to changing team environments - Locals within 75 miles are accepted and preferred - Lab work and compliance documents must be completed promptly as directed Requirements - Active IL RN license in hand at time of consideration (no pending licenses) - Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in the OR - Level 1 trauma experience required - Strong scrub and circulate skills required - Experience in ortho, ortho trauma, vascular, urology, and general surgery required - BLS certification is required - Proof of current COVID vaccination required prior to start date Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619127.
