All while understanding that together we are even better. /n /n/n /n Schedule: Full Time /n /n/n /n Shift: 7pm-7am three days a week /n /n/n /n Location: 5101 WILLOW SPRINGS RD, La Grange, 60525 /n /n/n /n The role you'll contribute: /n /n/n /n Responsible for promoting and restoring patients' health by completing the nursing process. This position collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care. Additionally, this role offers physical and psychological support to patients and families. This position may supervise assigned team members to ensure quality care. Responsibilities for this role include providing care consistent with the policies, procedures, and standards of the facility and relevant state nursing practice regulations. /n /n/n /n The value you'll bring to the team: /n /n/n /n Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients. * Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary. * Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions. * Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance. * Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork. * Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. * Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and interventions continuously, making necessary adjustments to improve patient health and achieve positive outcomes. * Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe healthcare environment. * Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and their families, addressing their emotional and psychological needs. * Supervise and delegate care provided by members of the healthcare team to ensure quality and efficiency. * Engage in continuous professional development and participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. * Respond to code situations promptly and effectively, providing necessary interventions to stabilize patients. /n /n/n /n Qualifications /n /n The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed : /n /n/n /n/n /n - Associate's of Nursing Required /n /n - Bachelor's of Nursing Preferred /n /n - One or more years of Work Experience Preferred /n /n - Organizational and multi-tasking skills /n /n - Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures /n /n - Ability to work as a Team player within a unit /n /n - Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills /n /n - EKG (based on patient population; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements) /n /n - Registered Nurse (RN) Required /n /n - American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) Preferred /n /n - Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required /n /n - Electronic Fetal Monitoring (CEFM) Preferred /n /n - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer w/ OB/GYN Spec (ARDMSOB) Preferred /n /n - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer w/ OB/GYN Spec (ARDMSOB) Preferred /n /n - Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN) Preferred /n /n - International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) Preferred /n /n - Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) Preferred /n /n - Critical Care Registered Nurse - Tele-ICU (CCRN-E) Preferred /n /n - Chemotherapy Certification (CHEMO) Preferred /n /n - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) Preferred /n /n - Neonatal Med Certification (NEONATAL MED) Preferred /n /n - Pediatric ER Assess, Recog & Stabilization (PEARS) Preferred /n /n - NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) Preferred /n /n - NonViolent Crisis Intervention Program (CPI) Preferred /n /n - S.T.A.B.L.E.
