Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with at least one year of operating room experience and an active IL RN license for a busy surgical department assignment. Responsibilities - Position is based in a busy hospital operating room department - Performs a range of procedures including open heart, medical, and orthopedic surgeries - Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 15:15, Monday through Friday - Five 8-hour shifts per week with potential for extended hours based on case load - On-call required: one night every 2 weeks and one weekend every 6 weeks - Uses Epic EMR with proficiency required - Role involves assisting with various surgical procedures in a high-volume OR setting - Must be flexible to work extended hours based on surgical case load - On-call responsibilities include occasional nights and weekends - Scrub or dress code requirements will be provided by the facility - Testing and vaccination requirements such as drug screening, PPD, flu, and COVID vaccination may apply - Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers Requirements - Active IL RN license required - Minimum of 1 year recent operating room experience - BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association or Red Cross required - PALS and NIHSS certifications preferred - Epic EMR experience is mandatory - Familiarity with multi-specialty surgical cases, including open hearts and orthopedics Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619845.
