Division Chief – Pediatric Pulmonology Rush University Medical
Center Chicago, IL The Department of Pediatrics at Rush University
Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic
institution, and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing
Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the
position of Division Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology. As a
department leader, the Division Chief will work closely with the
Department Chairperson to provide an energetic and inventive vision
for maintaining and growing clinical, educational and research
programs, developing strategic interdisciplinary teams for
furthering research, and continuing faculty development. Position
Details - The successful candidate will: - Provide strategic,
innovative, and operational leadership for the Pulmonology Division
within the Department of Pediatrics - Be responsible and
accountable for clinical and academic performance of the division -
Demonstrate a strong record of collaborative leadership and
commitment to excellence in clinical care, research, innovation,
and academic service - Commit to mentoring faculty, trainees, and
medical students - Have leadership skills necessary for guiding
faculty development and advancement across research, clinical, and
academic missions Qualifications - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or
Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required - Eligible to be
licensed to practice Medicine in the state of Illinois required -
Completion of an accredited Pediatric Pulmonology fellowship
program - Board Certified in Pediatric Pulmonology - Hold
credentials meriting an Associate Professor or Professor faculty
appointment - Demonstrate ongoing research achievement, community
engagement, and educational excellence The Rush University
Children's Hospital (RUCH) is part of theRush University Medical
Center (RUMC). It is an academic medical center that has 110
pediatric beds. RUMC is a 671-bed hospital serving adults and
children in downtown Chicago, Illinois. It includes the 58- adult
bed Johnston R. Bowman Health Center, Rush University and Rush

competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits,
and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range
shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in
making compensation decisions including, but not limited to,
knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education,
certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other
business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a
full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments
that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional
compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation
