Division Chief – Endocrinology and Metabolism Rush University
Medical Center Chicago, IL Rush University Medical Center, a
nationally recognized academic medical center and the teaching
hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, invites
applications for the position of Division Chief of Endocrinology
and Metabolism in the Department of Internal Medicine. This is an
exceptional leadership opportunity at a world-class institution

collaborative leader to build upon a strong foundation and drive
the next phase of clinical, academic, and research excellence. The
Division Chief will be responsible for advancing the Division’s
strategic goals, enhancing its clinical operations, and supporting
its research and education missions. Key Responsibilities: -
Provide strategic, innovative, and operational leadership for the
Division. - Foster a culture of excellence in clinical care,
research, education, and faculty development. - Grow clinical
programs, expand interdisciplinary collaborations, and improve
patient access and experience. - Support faculty recruitment,
retention, mentoring, and academic advancement. - Strengthen and
expand academic partnerships, including the fellowship program
co-sponsored with John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
Qualifications: - Board certified in Endocrinology, with an M.D.,
M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent. - Eligible for appointment at the rank
of Associate Professor or Professor. - Strong track record of
leadership in an academic setting. - Demonstrated commitment to
clinical excellence, education, research, and mentorship. - Ability
to cultivate a positive, inclusive, and forward-thinking team
culture. About the Division: The Division of Endocrinology is home
to a busy, high-quality clinical practice with a dedicated clinic
site, advanced ultrasound technology, experienced nurse
practitioners, clinical diabetes educators, and multidisciplinary
partnerships with surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, oncology, and other
specialties. The Division maintains a strong academic presence with
active involvement in medical education and clinical research. Why

compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive
programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the
wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation
decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills;
relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and
licensure; primary work location; and other business and
organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time,
1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be
applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as
sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances.
