Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Chicago, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,112 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/17/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Chicago, Illinois, 60612! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in ICU License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must live within 75 miles of the facility Description: Position: Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. Shift: 3 shifts per week, night shift from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. No block scheduling is available. Weekend requirement: Every other weekend, with a maximum of 2 weekends per month. Time-off request limitations: A maximum of 5 days, with no more than 2 consecutive days. No time-off requests are allowed on holidays or the day before or after a holiday. Mandatory floating may be required to meet facility needs. ICU nurses will float between various ICU units, including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, and Neuro ICU. If necessary, ICU nurses may be asked to float to medical-surgical units. Initial orientation and precepting will be on day shift. Charting will be done via an electronic health record system. The facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center. Scrub color will be navy blue, not provided. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in arterial line management, BiPAP and CPAP management, ventilated patient care, central line care, and interpretation of arterial blood gases. Additional skills include management of dysrhythmias, patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips. Compliance with all required vaccinations is necessary prior to the start date. No exemptions for the COVID-19 vaccine will be permitted.
