Job Description Job Description Psychiatry - Physician Opportunity Overview This role is designed for a board-certified or eligible General Psychiatrist who will provide inpatient psychiatric care at our facility in Chicago, focusing on adult mental health. Responsibilities include participating in a rotating call schedule, utilizing electronic health records, and engaging in a collaborative teaching hospital environment. General Psychiatry Position Chicago, IL We are looking to enhance our team with a psychiatrist dedicated to In-Patient General Psychiatry services at our esteemed hospital, part of a two-hospital system located in downtown Chicago. Qualifications Required: Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry Illinois Medical License or eligibility to obtain one Situated in Chicago, our Behavioral Health System features a 160-bed acute care psychiatric hospital that provides crisis stabilization services for individuals ranging from young children to older adults across eight distinct inpatient programs. We are in the process of expanding to 208 beds! Our facility boasts one of the largest pediatric psychiatric programs in Illinois and is proud to be the first and only hospital in the nation to receive the Joint Commission's Disease Specific Certification for Neuropsychiatry and Trauma Services. Additionally, we have been recognized as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission. We offer a range of inpatient services, including Acute Stabilization Programs for externalizing behaviors and Recovery Programs for internalizing behaviors. Our continuum of care also encompasses stand-alone Partial Hospitalization Programs for children and adolescents, Intensive Outpatient Programs for both adolescents and adults, traditional outpatient clinics, extensive School-based Services, and Telehealth Services. Our organization is honored to partner with medical and nursing schools, serving as a teaching hospital. We collaborate with the University of Illinois Chicago Medical School and Rush University Medical School, providing training for psychiatric and addiction medicine students, residents, and fellows, as well as select international medical schools.
