Encompass Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Chicago, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel - Role & Unit: ICU Registered Nurse for a high-acuity, 30-bed combined unit (SICU/MICU/Neuro). Must be capable of managing post-operative fresh heart patients (CABG). - Clinical Experience: - Required: Open heart, Neuro, and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) experience. - Specialties: Proficiency in Stroke care, including the administration of Tenecteplase (TNK). - Certifications: Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. - System Proficiency: Must have previous Epic electronic health record (EHR) experience. - Schedule & Attendance: - Rotational Requirement: Must work every other weekend and every other holiday. - Sick Call Policy: Weekend sick calls (Friday 7:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM) must be made up on the following weekend. - No Requested Time Off (RTO) will be granted for holidays. - Flexibility: Floating is an expectation of this contract in cases of low unit census. -Competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance through national carriers -Pet Insurance Available -Access to 401(k) retirement plans with optional employer matching -Direct deposit payroll and W-2 processing -Online employee portal for pay stubs, benefits enrollment, and HR document About Encompass Healthcare Staffing Encompass Healthcare Staffing matches elite clinicians with the facilities that need them most—nationwide—while championing each clinician with transparent, concierge-level support.
