Surgical First Assistant Location: Harvey, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,209 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 1/26/2026 About the Position Job Title: OR Tech First Assistant Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years of experience required License: Must have valid state RN license Must have valid state LPN/LVN license Must have valid state CNA license Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate BLS NRP Must-Have: CSFA certification Labor and Delivery and OB experience required 24-hour call coverage on weekends Description: The OR Tech First Assistant will be responsible for circulating C-sections. The role includes assisting with neonatal resuscitation. A sterile vaginal exam and triage of obstetrical patients will also be performed. Proficiency in the use of external fetal heart monitoring is necessary. Assisting with epidural placement is a key responsibility. The candidate should have experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting.
