Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Harvey, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,122 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN - Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 1 year required in an urban, Level I Trauma Emergency Department License: Must have state RN license in hand Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS required; TNCC, CPI preferred Must-Have: Must have prior experience in an urban, Level I Trauma ED. Teaching hospital experience is preferred. First-timers accepted. Weekend requirement: Every other weekend. Floating requirement: Yes. Pending licenses accepted: No. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. You will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in emergency situations. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. Your role will involve managing emergency cases, including trauma, medical, and psychiatric emergencies. Candidates should have experience with various emergency procedures and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Skills in administering medications, IV management, and patient assessment are essential. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to float to different areas within the unit may be required. This position involves caring for a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The unit is supported by various interdisciplinary services to enhance patient care.
