working with Cynet Health to find a qualified TICU RN in Chicago,
Illinois, 60612! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in
ICU License: IL License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have:
- Recent acute care experience in an ICU setting - Ability to float
within the facility as needed - Strong skills in interpretation and
management of dysrhythmias - Experience with arterial line
management and care of ventilated patients - Familiarity with the
Cerner charting system Description: Position involves working in a
Trauma ICU setting. Shifts are 3x12 hours from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. No
block scheduling is available. Every other weekend commitment is
required, totaling 2 weekends per month. Time off is allowed for a
maximum of 5 days, with no more than 2 consecutive days off. No
requests for time off during holidays or on weekends are permitted.
Floating to various units within the facility is mandatory based on
staffing needs. The facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center. Uniform is
navy blue and not provided. A thorough understanding of
dysrhythmias and multi-system organ dysfunction/failure is
essential. Duties include care of ventilated patients,
interpretation of arterial blood gases, and management of
intravenous drips. Candidates must be able to manage and assist
with BiPAP and CPAP. Compliance with the facility's policies
regarding floating and scheduling is required. Additional
requirements include responsiveness and timely submission of
necessary documents. Failure to meet these requirements may hinder
continued assignment. All modules must be completed prior to the
