shifts Hours: 36 Guaranteed Hours (GH) Job Description: Critical
Care Registered Nurse (ICU RN) Critical Care Registered Nurses
provide specialized, life-sustaining care to patients experiencing
severe or life-threatening conditions. These may include heart
attacks, strokes, shock, severe trauma, respiratory distress, and
other complex medical emergencies. ICU RNs work in fast-paced,
high-acuity environments where clinical expertise, critical
thinking, and teamwork are essential. Key Duties and
Responsibilities Assess patient conditions and develop, implement,
and evaluate individualized care plans Monitor, observe, and
accurately document vital signs and patient responses to treatment
Administer intravenous fluids, medications, and blood products as
prescribed Provide advanced life support and respond to emergency,
life-saving situations following established nursing protocols
Treat wounds and perform suctioning as required Assist physicians
with bedside procedures and interventions Operate, monitor, and
troubleshoot critical medical equipment, including ventilators,
monitors, and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP); make adjustments
as needed Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary
critical care team members Act as a patient advocate, ensuring
patient safety, comfort, and dignity Provide education, guidance,
and emotional support to patients and their families Requirements:
Active RN Illinois license 2 years ICU RN experience required BLS
certification required Strong communication, teamwork, and
