Job Description:
Ascension, a faith-based healthcare organization dedicated to
innovative and compassionate care, is seeking an experienced
Registered Nurse for our Stepdown Unit. This role is pivotal in
providing top-tier healthcare in a post-intensive care setting,
where patients requiring close monitoring and specialized medical
attention are treated. The ideal candidate will deliver care
tailored to individual needs, focusing on accelerating recovery
with the utmost respect for patient dignity. Ascension promotes a
holistic approach, ensuring each patient journey reflects our
commitment to personalized health improvements. Monitor and assess
the condition of stepdown unit patients, adjusting care plans as
necessary. Administer medications, document therapeutic responses,
and communicate patient progress. Collaborate with
cross-disciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and uphold the
unit’s standards. Educate patients and families on post-discharge
care, ensuring a clear understanding of the recovery process.
Participate in training and professional development to stay
abreast of healthcare advancements. Proficiency in high-acuity
patient care Expertise in telemetry and life support equipment
Strong communication and documentation skills Capability in patient
and family education Ability to work collaboratively in a
fast-paced environment Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse licensure
BLS/ACLS certification required CCRN certification is advantageous
but not required
