1:6 Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse
specializing in Medical Surgical. The nurse will work a day shift
of 12 hours. The role involves a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6.
Candidates with at least one year of experience are encouraged to
apply. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend work is required
every other weekend. Floating between units is required. Charting
will be done using an electronic health record system. The nurse
will be responsible for various aspects of patient care, including
but not limited to: - Management of various medical conditions. -
Administration of medications and treatments. - Care and management
of patients with IVs and central lines. - Implementing care plans
and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams. - Performing
tracheostomy care and managing equipment such as BiPAP/CPAP. The
units cater to adult and geriatric patients. Daily census indicates
a manageable number of patients. Diverse support services will be
available to assist the nursing staff. Candidate must have skills
in cardiac monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
Management of post-operative patients, including those recovering
from thoracic and orthopedic surgeries, is required. The ability to
manage continuous bladder irrigation and care for feeding tubes is
essential. Isolation precautions and wound care will also be part
