Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Interpretation of
dysrhythmias - Management of dysrhythmias - Management of patients
with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure - Arterial line
management - Central line care/management - Continuous IV sedation
- Titration of cardiac drips - Titration of vasoactive drips -
BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance - Care of ventilated patients -
Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) - Suctioning (ETT,
NT) - Ventilator management - Isolation precautions/PPE -
Computerized documentation - Titration of IV vasopressors
Description: Position for a Registered Nurse in the ICU. Shift is
3x12s from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM. No block scheduling is available.
Weekend requirement is every other weekend or 2 weekends per month.
There are no restrictions on time off for weekdays but a maximum of
5 days, with no more than 2 consecutive days, is allowed. No time
off is permitted on holidays or the day before or after a holiday,
as well as on weekends. Mandatory floating to various ICU units,
including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, is required.
RNs may be asked to float to medical-surgical units as needed. The
first week will consist of orientation and precepting shifts. Daily
patient ratios and census may vary. Travelers may be notified to
float to different units 2 hours before a shift. Non-compliance
with floating requests may result in contract cancellation.
Returning resources must complete full recredentialing and
reorient, even if the break in contract is less than 30 days.
Modules must be completed pre-start, and any completed while on
assignment are billable. The compliance deadline for document
submission is the Monday before orientation by close of business.
Candidates must respond promptly to all required items to ensure
