Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A healthcare opportunity is available for an Operating Room Technician with experience in Nursing - ORT. This contract position is based in Chicago, IL, offering a structured work schedule and the chance to contribute to high-quality surgical care. Work Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM On-call requirements for weekdays and weekends Weekday on-call after hours from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM Weekend on-call covering Saturday and Sunday totaling 60 hours Key Responsibilities: Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring optimal preparation and patient safety Operate and maintain surgical instruments and equipment in compliance with protocols Collaborate closely with surgical teams to support effective workflow in the operating room Respond promptly during on-call hours to meet patient and procedure needs Utilize Epic EMR system for accurate documentation Required Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of experience as an Operating Room Technician or similar role Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Familiarity with surgical procedures and sterile techniques Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts during weekdays and weekends Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail Location Insights:Situated in the vibrant city of Chicago, this role offers access to a dynamic urban environment rich in culture, dining, and entertainment options.
