You will assist the Special Team Captain Food Service in leading
the Food Service team to create memorable experiences through
exceptional flavors and presentation of Dom's Kitchen & Market's
unique offerings!As the Food Service Special Team Lead, you will
assist in leading Dom's Kitchen & Market dynamic team dedicated to
delivering Talk of the Town -Guest Service! -ResponsibilitiesDom's
Kitchen & Market -Special Team Lead Food Service will assist in
leading the Food Service department and be accountable for total
FRESH responsibility in Food Service that merges your love for
people - both team members and guests - with operational
excellence. You will be: -
- Expected in the absence of the Special Team Captain Food
Service to lead the Food Service operation
- Measured and rewarded by your ability to deliver Talk of the
Town -Guest Service, drive optimal Food Service teams' performance,
maintain FRESH operations and achieve financial targets
- Accountable for the extraordinary experience of your team and
your guests -
- Responsible for engaging conversations with guests and ensure
each guest receives an extraordinary Talk of the Town guest
experience -
- Focused on driving sales through technical expertise, industry
knowledge and innovative merchandising
- Expected to assist in successfully training, developing,
retaining, mentoring and motivating Dom's Kitchen & Market
first-class Food Service team leading to inspired teamwork creating
an inviting atmosphere for guests
- Assist with work duties across Food Service including
cross-training of team members
- Challenge Food Service team daily to provide world class FRESH
conditions and presentations including consistent Food Prep,
Quality, In-Stock, In-Code, product rotation and temperature
checks
- Accountable for supporting schedules for the Food Service team
for maximum productivity and high standards of quality that align
to business needs and budgeted labor goals
- Execute in absence of Special Team Captain Food Service for
appropriate Food Service sales forecasting, planning, ordering,
sales floor inventory levels
- Responsible for food production, recipes are followed, food
prep is consistent and technically accurate within budgeted
ingredient cost goals, follow controls to minimize food and supply
waste, follow appropriate repurposing of food waste
- Assist with receiving of product, invoice accuracy, vendor
commitments, vendor backstock
- Accountable for backroom, cooler and freezer logistics
including minimal inventory levels, freshness dates and
organization of product and supplies
- Maintain -the high standards of Food Safety and Sanitation at
all times throughout Food Service sales floor, cooler, freezer and
backroom including -regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment,
tables, cases and shelves with organization and sanitation of all
backrooms, food prep areas and supplies
- Listening for the Voice of the Guest to identify Food Service
trends for guest needs and expectations and counsel with Special
Team Captain Food Service to integrate findings to deliver value
and accelerate growth -

- 3+ years' leader experience in restaurant, hospitality or
retail -
- 4 year college degree, culinary degree or equivalent experience
preferred -
- Proven history of consistent high-quality cuisine
production
- Experience executing a successful Catering Operation
- Experience in cost controls
- Food Safety certification preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational and planning
skills
- Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision
making and financial analysis
- Sense of urgency, time management, prioritization and
multitasking skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to maintain composure, meet deadlines and work
effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings,
weekends and holidays
- Availability must reflect the needs of the business, which may
change from time to time

- Full Time PositionPhysical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to perform the following physical activities
regularly: Walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, climbing,
balancing, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling,
talking, hearing and repetitive motions
- Walking/Standing 90% and sitting 10% of day
- Frequent movement within the store to access various
departments, areas and/or products
- Physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force often and
exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures - walk-in coolers
and freezers
- Exposure to chemicals and cleaning products
- Operating equipment (baler, compactor, power jack)
- Familiarity with and the ability to utilize kitchen cutlery,
slicers, blenders, gas-fired cooking equipment, griddles, chicken
fryers, ovens, scales, can openers and other culinary tools.Work
