Job Description:
Job Description Primary Objectives of Position: Develop and
maintain employer partners for placement for qualified youth
participants and for opportunities to create Work-Based Learning,
Paid Work Experience opportunities. Provide comprehensive case
management services to a caseload of participants to enable them to
reach their short- and long-term education and employment goals.
Plan and coordinate hiring youth events. Achieve performance goals
for the program as set forth by the program contract. Essential Job
Functions: Develop and maintain employer partners for job placement
opportunities. Identify Paid Work Experience employer partners and
facilitate create of Paid Work Experience component of programming.
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of program legislation and
the local policies related to program expectations and performance
outcomes. Determine eligibility and suitability for program
services before enrolling participants into programming. Implement
and support ongoing recruitment and intake activities for program
participants. Create and maintain active caseload of program
participants. Assist participants in identifying vocational goals.
Develop Individual Services Strategies for participants based on
formal and informal assessment data and enter plan data into
participant database. Refer customer to job search, work
experience, training or other appropriate activities based on
individual assessment. Facilitate Job Readiness, Career Development
and other workshops related to employment including resume
development, interviewing, job search, soft skills development,
etc. Generate reports to measure progress towards placement goals
Maintain customer case management records in electronic and paper
file. Provide crisis intervention and referral services as
necessary. Identify, develop and maintain community, employer and
local stakeholder partnerships for programming. Participate in
community events and activities to market and support initiatives.
Perform all other business, educational and community service
duties as assigned. Plan and coordinate one youth hiring event per
month. Other Job Duties: This job description is not intended to be

Education: Bachelor's degree (preferably in Human Services,
Business, or Education area) or equivalent experience Experience:
Minimum of 1-year experience in Youth Services. Previous experience
in the employment/training field preferred. Skills/Abilities:
Ability to establish rapport with, and motivate disadvantaged
participants to participate in work activities. Excellent oral and
written communication skills. Ability to work well both
independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem solving and
critical thinking skills. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
Excellent keyboarding skills with good accuracy. Computer literacy
and comfort working in a variety of internet based systems. Basic
knowledge and working skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work in a professional environment. Knowledge of Youth
Development practices. Additional Requirements: Must have valid
driver's license and adequate vehicle insurance coverage. Bilingual
