We participate in E-Verify / Participamos en E-Verify Divisional Trainers are responsible for the training and development of all front house all hourly employees, and maintains hourly training materials and front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH) systems. Essential Functions Conduct and oversee all aspects of hourly employee training, including but not limited to orientation, initial training, tastings, informational seminars, ongoing development of employees, etc.
Review, maintain and update hourly employee training and reference materials
Observe, maintain and update systems when needed and communicate observations with management and partners
Attend management meetings and informational seminars as applicable
Achieve and maintain level of excellence in all functions outlined in hourly team job descriptions
Maintain availability to work a variety of days and shifts, including early mornings, late nights and weekends
Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools, utensils, equipment and software (for example, restaurant management software, etc.)
Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
Ability to multitask calmly and effectively under pressure
Work in a confined, crowded space of variable light, noise and temperature levels
Able to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces Key Responsibilities and Duties Model and promote teamwork across all teams
Maintain a positive, pleasant attitude through each shift
Assist GM and designated managers/chefs as directed to interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise and develop all hourly employees as needed
Facilitates completion of new hire forms and paperwork for FOH employees
Use online applicant tracking system (ATS) including but not limited to updating applicant workflow status, and teach ATS functions to managers as needed
Monitor, address and document individual employee performance through recognition, coaching and, when necessary, disciplinary action
Assist with execution and organization of GHS, food handlers compliance, and alcohol awareness training
Assist with training all hourly teams on safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures including but not limited to using equipment
Use tact and good judgment when dealing with challenges pertaining to guests, vendors and employees, and respond with patience and courtesy
Ensure repair and maintenance needs are met and/or communicated to designated manager
Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions
Ensure proper food storage and food quality standards including consistency and presentation
Comply with all applicable policies and legal requirements
Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook
Other duties assigned as needed
