HR/Labor Liaison for our Chicago Office and associated program
areas to coordinate activities related to hiring, personnel
transactions, and position descriptions. In addition, this employee
serves as liaison with IDORs Labor Relations Office. The ideal
candidate has strong interpersonal, organizational, and
communication skills, as well as experience working with a
multitude of HR and Labor issues.The benefits of working at

one (medical, dental, vision, and life).Job ResponsibilitiesUnder
general direction, serves as Personnel Liaison with the Human
Resources (HR) office for assigned program areas of the Illinois
Department of Revenue (IDOR).Coordinates Labor Relations functions
for assigned Program Areas.Serves as an Executive Assistant to the
assigned Program Administrators.Directs, coordinates and
participates in a variety of special projects as instructed by the
Human Resources Manager.Participates in and conducts management
staff meetings as a representative for the assigned program
areas.Assists the HR Recruitment Manager.Performs other duties as
required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the
duties enumerated above.Minimum QualificationsRequires knowledge,
skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years
of college, preferably with courses in business or public
administration.Requires prior experience equivalent to three years
of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public
or business organization.Preferred QualificationsSix (6) years of
experience working with standard Human Resource processes such as
transactions, classifications, and hiring.Six (6) years of
professional experience generating written correspondence and
reports.Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.Four (4)
years of professional experience developing presentations and
orally conveying technical information to audiences of various
sizes and levels of understanding on a topic.Four (4) years of
experience analyzing operational problems and developing plans of
action.Prefers a bachelors degree.Four (4) years of professional
experience exercising judgement and discretion when developing,
implementing, and interpreting policies and procedures.Four (4)
years of experience recommending/administering discipline and
resolving employee grievances.Four (4) years of proficiency
gathering and compiling data for the purpose of generating complex
reports, spreadsheets, etc.Four (4) years of experience working
with labor contracts, such as the AFSCME/State of Illinois labor
contract.Prefers a masters degree or higher level of
education.Conditions of EmploymentRequires the ability to
successfully complete a tax compliance and fingerprint-based
background check.Requires a valid drivers license and the ability
to travel.Requires the ability to secure and use a State supplied
laptop/tablet computer and cellular phone.Work Hours:
