Wisconsin, and CaliforniaPosition SummaryTo provide human resources
support services to The RoomPlace employees while increasing the
productivity and efficiency of the departments and the company. To
ensure that the stores are in compliance with state and federal
employment laws and regulations. Serves as a business partner to
leadership on tactical to strategic issues while acting as employer
and employee advocate.Responsibilities & Essential
Functions:Associate Relations: Investigates, reports on, and
recommends remedial course of action to resolve associate relations
conflict, ranging from one-dimensional to complex. Fields and
responds to associate inquiries; refers issues as appropriate to VP
HR or other members of leadership.Change Management: Partners with
leadership on the effective management of change in the business;
drives and supports the formulation and delivery of communication
and engagement with the workforce to facilitate and ease
transformative or disruptive business initiatives. Leads or
supports the enterprise-level HR project work.Policy & Procedure:
Actively leads and contributes to definition and refinement of HR
policies and procedures. Identifies areas for process creation
where it does not currently exist, or process enhancement where
needed - and drives development, implementation, and adoption in
the business. Partners with and counsels' business leadership in
the interpretation and fair & consistent application of Company
policy and process.Training & Development: Delivers leadership and
associate training programs. Develops and/or directs the
development of supporting materials and collateral as needed.
Administers program logistics.Talent Acquisition: Manage
high-volume exempt and non-exempt associate recruitment through
effective and efficient use of recruitment methods - job fairs,
newspaper advertising, on-line recruitment, search firms,
etc.Benefits: Plays a key role in annual open enrollment, ensuring
associates and leaders understand the process and any relevant or
impactful plan changes, driving timely and complete participation.
Develops and maintains total understanding of Company benefits
menu. Addresses associate concerns or questions about associate
benefit programs, ensuring timely and accurate responses.Leave
Administration: Manages and reports on all aspects of associate
leaves of absences; medical, personal, military, FMLA, etc. Handles
leaves in a timely and efficient, confidential manner. Administers
and contributes to program review and revision as
appropriate.Workers' Compensation: Analyzes trends, causes for
claims, devise safety training game plans. Partners with adjuster
to provide related information to claims. Maintains OSHA 200
log.Compliance: contributes to annual compliance reporting
requirements, including but not limited to1095C, OSHA 300A and
EEO-1. Ensures compliance with state, federal and TRP Acquisition
posting requirements.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree preferred or
an equivalent combination of education and work experience.SPHR/PHR
Certification preferred.Minimum 3-5 years of increasing
responsibility in human resources profession.Preferred previous
experience in retail, distribution or manufacturing environment
preferred.Ability to self-start and self-motivate under very
limited supervision required.Excellent organizational skills with
the ability to handle pressures of deadlines, diverse assignment
loads and high work volumes.Demonstrated ability to positively
influence others and to deal tactfully and confidently.Must be
highly adaptable and experienced in working in a fast-paced
environment.The position formulates partnerships across the HR
function to deliver value-added service to management and
associates that reflects the business objectives of the
organization.Outstanding leadership and organization
abilities.Exception problem solving skills and sound professional
judgement.Knowledge of common business software such as Microsoft
Office and ADP knowledge a plus.Highly ethical professional with
interpersonal skills required to team effectively with all levels
of the organization.Ability to motivate and inspire outstanding
performance among the reporting staff.Excellent communication
skills necessary to articulate HR strategies.Creative, strategic
thinker who values contribution of each team member along with
attention to detail and commitment for quality and excellence in
