The HR Business Partner is responsible for the development,
implementation, and coordination of the organization's human
resource strategies within a multi-state region. The HRBP aligns
human resource objectives with employees and management at the
Corporate level. The HRBP anticipates, manages, and delivers
value-added services that impact the organization's goals in the
areas of recruitment, training and development, performance
management, employee relations, compliance, and total rewards. This
position will collaborate with the HR Leadership Team, site
leadership, recruiting partners, talent management, and other HR
Partners to deliver exceptional customer service to the
business.
Serves as the HR subject matter expert to managers and employees
and establishes HR as a credible and trustworthy resource.
Serve as go-to for onboarding, employee relations, separations,
etc.
Ensures HR is providing customer-oriented service to the business
including talent management and organizational effectiveness.
Manages programs, policies, and procedures to support the
organizational culture.
Coaches managers in person to achieve maximum potential and ensure
compliance and fair treatment.
Facilitates performance management through coaching, systems, and
processes.
Develops and coordinates learning and development plans to transfer
knowledge and provide career growth.
Communicates and applies policy and procedures across organization
and recommends changes to support business needs.
Conducts investigations of workplace policy violations and mediates
difficult employee relations issues at site.
Gathers and reports HR metrics including key performance indicators
to assess and improve HR service.
Leads/Co-leads special projects as assigned.
Must travel to sites to build relationships, represent the HR
function in a positive light, have performance management
discussions; workforce planning, succession planning, talent
calibrations, etc.
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline required.
5+ years related work experience required,
3+ years strategic HR experience supporting a multi-state matrix
organization required.
Experience providing HR support to executive clients required.
Experience in investigations, crucial conversations, performance
management, creating career paths, comp analysis, and leading
projects is needed.
Experience with applicant tracking systems.
Human Resources Information System ("HRIS") or other related
mainframe systems. Demonstrated understanding of effective human
resource management and support for business.
MS Word, Excel, Google Drive and Google Docs/sheets)
Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive data.
Excellent organization and time management skills to handle
multiple tasks in an environment with large volumes of data,
paperwork, and requests.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
Professional certification in human resources preferred (PHR, SPHR,
etc.).
Typical office environment, including heavy computer usage and
sitting for long periods of time.
A fast-paced, varied environment and occasional overtime are
expected with this position.
Travel will be required.
This will include but not limited to Domestic, overnight travel
estimated to be 20-25% with frequent day trips to Veolia
locations.
