The Avail office is located in River North, Chicago.JOB DESCRIPTIONAvail is looking for an experienced QA engineer who can help take our product to the next level. We need someone passionate about testing applications and fluent in technologies within the industry. We work in a highly collaborative environment, where each person is expected to bring expertise, strong opinions and raw talent to the table. Our QA engineer will lead the effort in designing and implementing tests, identifying and triaging issues in multiple environments, and helping identify root causes and action plans to fix them. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics. Our QA engineer will embed with multiple squads and help conduct tests before and after product launches. They will have a hand in all phases of the software development lifecycle and make a huge impact on the product.What will you do?Responsibilities

• Work with product development teams to help define requirements and testing strategy for feature development
• Define, prioritize, and execute test plans and test cases
• Perform regression testing for production deployments
• Continue automating our testing strategy
• Identify and track bugs
• Track quality assurance metrics
• Stay up-to-date with testing tools and strategiesWhat will you bring?Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Proven work experience in software development
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Strong understanding of the key components of a healthy testing framework
  • Experience with Cypress.io
  • Broad understanding of relational databases
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Excellent programming experience and a passion to continue learning new and familiar technologies
