searching for a System Administrator. Our firm offers a

IT Director/Sr. Network Administrator, the System Administrator is
the escalation point for any system related issues for helpdesk
team or users. As a System Administrator, this individual will
focus on creation of packages in SCCM, software deployments,
licensing management and assisting the Sr. Network Administrator on
various projects and monthly maintenance windows as the
organization grows. The System Administrator will also provide
"hands-on" user support for day-to-day administration, maintenance,
and support of personal productivity systems. Expectation is that
this person will also provide maintenance and support of the
technology infrastructure and develop new solutions as needed
through project work. This role will provide valuable exposure to
project management fundamentals, risk management, and network
architecture & security design.Responsibilities
- Effectively serve as the escalation point for the IT help desk
across multiple sites and remote users.
- Improve the productivity of the IT help desk by creating &
managing software packages and image updates in SCCM.
- Work closely with the Sr. Network Administrator on monthly
maintenance windows and upgrades as necessary.
- Identify, research, and resolve complex technical
problems.
- Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure resolution in a
timely manner.
- Provide maintenance, technical support and troubleshooting of
desktop computers, printers, telephones, and other devices to
ensure effective use of technology resources by HBK staff.
- Resolve hardware/software conflicts as well as basic network
troubleshooting.
- Handle user support questions regarding various software
programs.
- Participate in the effective operation of the IT Help Desk by
taking requests, tracking work tickets, maintaining equipment
inventories.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of HBK computer systems and
share this knowledge with customers to promote computing literacy
and efficient use of technology as well as a high level of customer
service.
- Maintain network security and access to resources by creating,
editing, or deleting user accounts, network shares and e-mail lists
with attention to appropriate security procedures.
- Maintain the security of computers and data by ensuring
operating system updates and virus protection are installed as well
as finding and eliminating malicious applications.
- Provide IT systems administration and support as needed,
working closely with all members of the IT team, to ensure
continuous and effective operations while maintaining IT security
policy.
- Participate in ensuring the stability of all HBK's information
systems with teamwork and professionalism, including, but not
limited to, carrying and responding to a cell phone and being
available when needed for critical system support.
- Works closely with internal departments to rollout new
initiatives, programs, systems, automation enhancements,
etc.Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in information systems or
equivalent with a minimum of 3 years' experience working as a
Subsystem Administrator in a fast-paced, IT support
environment.
- Prior experience in server patching, License servers, Microsoft
365.
- Experience with working with help desk team preferred.
- Basic network administration ability with Microsoft Active
Directory and other network applications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows hardware and
general computer operation required.
- Strong listening and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to explain and document computer systems in terms
equivalent to user's experience level.
- Experience with inventory management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively
interact with employees at all levels within the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and effectively handle
shifting priorities in a dynamic work environment.
- Outstanding organization abilities.
- Excellent creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work varied and flexed hours, at times may include
nights, weekends, holidays.Offers contingent upon satisfactory
