Job Description:

We are a Chicago based e-commerce firm that has been around for over 15 years. We are seeking to expand our software engineering team and are looking for an experienced developer to join our team. Our team is currently 10 engineers strong and we would like to add an experience PHP Developer at this time. Your background should include a solid understanding of PHP - code samples are nice - as well as a solid grasp of frameworks such as: Zend, Laravel, etc.

This is a fulltime role where you can work 100% remotely, but you are welcome to stop into our Chicago headquarters in the River North area as well.

• 3+ years of PHP web development experience
• 2+ years experience with a framework like Zend, Symfony, Laravel, CodeIgniter, etc.
• Demonstrated mastery of software design & architecture skills
• General web security vulnerabilities & defenses
• At least 3 years experience with Linux
• Some exposure to CSS and JavaScript would be a plus
• Knowledge of SQL, MySQL, and general database design and optimization is a major plus
