Job Description:

Role: Developer (Python + AWS)
Location: Chicago, IL or Columbus, OH onsite hybrid
Contract


This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including.

• 
  
• Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages, preferably Java or Python or JavaScript frameworks (Angular / React)
  
• Understanding of architecture and design across application, web and database systems
  
• Working with stakeholders on delivery, status updates, establishing prioritization and issue escalation
  
• Experience with RDBMS different database that is our Oracle database. MySQL server, MySQL, etc
  
• Familiar with development tools such as Jenkins, Git, Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, etc
  
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  
  
  Nice to have capabilities
  
  • 
    
  • Experience in public cloud, Amazon Web Service EC2 instances, ASG, Terraform
    
  • Knowledge of internal public cloud capabilities i.e. Cloud Foundry or Kubernetes.
    
  • Experience with Java application frameworks such as spring or spring boot
    
  • Knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
    
  • Ability to collaborate with high performing teams and individuals throughout the firm that accomplish common goals
    
  • Understanding of business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
    
  • Experience delivering products across multiple releases
    
  • Global tax subject matter expertise is a plus
