Role Purpose Global Category Managers are key subject experts and seasoned professionals that operate across Chain IQ's client portfolio for their respective area of expertise, ensuring Chain IQ continually drives best practice and that Client's derive maximum value. -
- Responsibilities Develop and execute Zero-base Category Strategies

• Support Client Service Delivery on specific Sales/Business Development for new or existing client engagement
• Develop future category strategies in close collaboration with Chain IQ clients
• Develop, propose, oversee and execute saving -opportunities
• Set the specific category standards according to overall Chain IQ category methodology and industry benchmarks
• Translate market insights into actionable category strategies and tactics that drive measurable results
• Maintain market knowledge (trends, developments, etc) within the category and "owns" related best practice insights which are utilized to support and training Chain IQ delivery organization Develop supplier partnerships and co-innovation
  • Explore supplier partnerships to co-innovate products, services and business models
  • Develop contractual arrangements that incentivize performance
  • Maintain relationships with category specific suppliers to keep aware of supplier trends Accelerate digital and analytics adoption
    • Leverage spend analytics to build competitive advantage and counter margin pressures
    • Analyse data and insights to determine industry and client trends
    • Design and build digital solutions Transform client to future operating model (BPO) and ensure delivery
      • Provide end to end ownership of IT category strategy on a global, cross client basis
      • Develop and update Category Strategy for client, renewed in a 3 year cycle and in cooperation with the Clients senior stakeholders
      • Supports Chain IQ client teams to understand, own and drive relevant category strategies
      • Optimizing buying channels, to ensure efficient transactional procurement
      • Works in close collaboration with Chain IQ delivery organization across all clients to support them in ensuring ongoing optimization of relevant category including global savings opportunities
      • Defines, communicates and maintains category strategies and plans
      • Supports high value, complex sourcing opportunities as required from time to time Requirements
        • Broad subject matter expertise in the IT category
        • Strong negotiation skills with experience in contract management for IT
        • Recognized as having deep category expertise by peers, clients and external supply base alike
        • Strong IT background and proven track record in comparable position. 10+ years progressive procurement experience typically gained in a major organization/consulting organization or from General Management experience from having managed IT from the business perspective
        • Previous Category Management experience or proven success in an organization with demonstrable category management discipline
        • Proven track record of delivering results in complex, matrix environments
