Position Summary

TheTechnical Accounting Manager, Intangible Assets owns accounting and reporting related to Kraft Heinz's global portfolio of iconic brands and goodwill, which total more than $75 billion.The primary responsibilities of this role entail the annual goodwill and other intangible assets annual test and the ongoing accounting of these assets. In this role, you will partner with global and zone finance to gain an understanding of brand and operating segments strategic plans. Additionally, the role requires significant collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage shifting priorities and deliver on tight deadlines. Beyond accounting for intangible assets, you will also assist with or lead ad hoc projects related to M&A activity and other technical accounting matters. Strong financial systems knowledge or experience with deals or valuations is a bonus. Your ability to understand the flow of financial information across systems and teams, collaborate effectively with internal business partners and external specialists, and drive projects to completion will be critical to your success in this role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing large projects with multiple work streams and excel at written communication and control documentation. Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee team of 2-3 staff members
  • Develop and manage timeline for the annual goodwill and other intangible asset impairment testing
  • Review and analyze historical results, long-term forecasts, and forecast support used in valuations
  • Liaise with the third-party valuation firm to coordinate deliverables and review inputs and assumptions
  • Maintain strong internal controls and related documentation
  • Support internal and external audit work
  • Execute monthly goodwill and intangible asset routines (journal entries, account reconciliations, etc.)
  • Draft disclosures related to goodwill and intangible assets in quarterly and annual SEC filings
  • Prepare quarterly accounting analyses and related memoranda
  • Research technical accounting issues and develop positions to ensure compliance with accounting rules
  • Conduct special projects, as required

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting required, CPA highly preferred
    • 5 years of relevant experience required
    • Proficiency with SOX compliance from prior public accounting audit experience with an emphasis in SEC engagements and/or industry experience at a large, public multi-national company
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Detail-oriented with a high sense of urgency and exceptional organizational skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills with the ability to operate with a team, customer service, and leadership mentality
    • Ability to effectively lead, manage, and prioritize multiple projects, while operating in a fast-paced, complex global organization with shifting schedules and priorities

      Office Collaboration & Hybrid Work Environment
