  • Under the direction of the CIO, the purpose of this role is to lead the IT Business Analysis and Business Operations functions with the goal of successful delivery of enterprise technology products, projects, and solutions and the delivery of mission-critical business data to the organization providing a foundation to achieve wider business goals. Further this role should serve as an IT leader with a focus on aligning to the overall business and IT strategy and championing those initiatives.Strategy and Planning
    • Participate/facilitate the development of IT strategies (within the area of responsibility and IT generally) in collaboration with the IT executive team. Partner with the business to identify key issues and challenges that need to be improved and determine cost effective solutions. Develop strategy, technology and process roadmaps that ensure best practices, deliver process improvements, and cost reductions that meet business expectations. Maintain proficiency in Agile methodologies, facilitate portfolio management, and act as a Scrum master for Agile teams.Effective Team Management
      • Recruit, maintain, and mentor a team of highly proficient business analysis staff and membership operations staff to support initiatives related to the organization's website, association management system (AMS), and Financials systems. Emphasize continuous staff improvement, making changes to staff and staffing levels when needed.Operational Excellence
        • Accountable for facilitating the successful delivery of IT initiatives through: requirements gathering, sprint planning, facilitating retrospectives, and acting as Scrum master for agile teams. Drive the adoption and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement through projects and day to day tasks. Develop standards and operational procedures that support current and future needs. Ensure resolution of incidents and requests within defined SLA's.Acquisition and Budget
          • Develop business case justifications and conduct cost/benefit analysis for IT spend (both within IT and without). Manage AMS vendor relationships and negotiate contracts and services to achieve the best results for the ABA. Build and maintain IT department budgets, catalog technology spend outside of IT, and leverage business unit spend to achieve the best results for the organization.
          • Performs other related duties as required.Required Education, Qualifications, Experience
            • 7+ years of relevant experience in Business Analysis
            • 7+ years of hand-on Agile Methodology experience
            • 4+ years of management experience of Business Analysis and Business Operations functions
            • 5+ years of working with Association Management Systems, SaaS products, and/or vendors.
            • Excellent leadership, communication, and organization skills with a results-oriented mindset.
            • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
            • Strong analytical problem-solving ability.
            • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with both business and IT stakeholders and leaders, as well as related IT project and operations teams.
            • Strong strategic planning discipline, with experience building and communicating business cases for technology change.Preferred Education, Qualifications, Experience
              • Ability to write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system enhancements.
              • Understanding of Agile Methodology principles, and grasp of current and emerging technologies and trends, with ability to rapidly assess and apply new and emerging technologies.
              • Proficiency with Atlassian suite of products, particularly Jira and Confluence
              • Experience coaching teams on Scrum and with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles Physical Requirements
                • Typical office work environment. Extent of Travel Required in the Job
