What You Can Expect
As our Senior Project Developer, you will play a vital role in
supporting the origination and development of distributed solar and
solar + Storage projects for ENGIE Distributed Solar and Storage
(DSS) business in ENGIE North America. Your daily tasks will
involve facilitating land acquisition, permitting, environmental
review, and other critical aspects of solar energy and storage
project development, contributing to our company's renewable energy
goals and growth strategy. In this position, your strong
interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills will be
essential as you manage various tasks simultaneously with a
positive and professional demeanor. You will lead development
activities across all stages, from early to late, for greenfield
sites, origination projects, and acquired projects. Moreover, you
will possess a solid understanding of renewable energy market
trends and their implications for solar project development. This
role offers flexibility in location, with options in either
Chicago, IL or Houston, TX, and reports to the Director of Project
Development.
Support the team by facilitating strategic meetings with customers,
landowners, and local/state/regional stakeholders to keep them
informed throughout the development process, including attending
community engagement events, conferences, policy/advocacy group
meetings and other local events
Direct/Manage both internal and external subject matter experts to
complete all land acquisition, environmental, local/state/federal
permitting, interconnection, real estate and design activities
Prepare and deliver presentations related to project and policy for
solar markets
Support activities related M&A opportunities originated by the
DSS Business Development Team
What You'll Bring
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business
Administration, Environmental Sciences, or Economics
A minimum of five (5) years' of experience in energy or related
field
A minimum of four (4) years' of project development experience,
including managing projects at various stages of the development
lifecycle
You have experience in distributed and community solar programs
You are conscientious and detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and
precision in all tasks
You have unimpeachable integrity, consistently prioritizing ethical
conduct and acting with a team-first attitude
You are proficient in creative problem-solving, particularly in
renewables transactions and project development, adept at resolving
challenging commercial disagreements with professionalism and
poise
Additional Details
This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; consisting of
with a minimum of two (2) days in the office
Must be available to travel domestically up to 25% of the time and
with the need for some overnight trips
Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE's policy with respect
to COVID vaccination and testing
Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety
policies
Compensation
Salary Range: $96,100 - $147,600 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified
candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry
knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide
factors.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage
laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography,

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a
competitive bonus / incentive plan.
