As a Senior Production Support Engineer on the US Risk Technology
team, you will support our anti-money laundering (AML) platform
built using SAS Viya 3.5. This platform is used for customer risk
rating, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting. At CIBC

your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work
activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2
days per week on-site, while other days may be remote . How You’ll
Succeed Application Support – investigate application issues;
prioritize incidents based on impact and severity. Identify root
causes and implement solutions to prevent recurrence. Apply IT
Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices for incident, change, and
problem management. Database Support – write complex SQL queries;
troubleshoot extract, transform, and load (ETL) pipelines. Cloud
Computing – manage Linux virtual machines and a PostgreSQL database
hosted on Microsoft Azure. Release Management – oversee production
changes affecting CIBC’s SAS Viya AML platform, including bug fixes
and version upgrades. Service Continuity – perform disaster
recovery tests. Collaboration – build trusted working relationships
with business stakeholders, technology partners, and external
vendors. Communication – express technical concepts to
non-technical audiences with precision and clarity. Continuous
Learning – stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, changes in
the banking industry, and regulatory developments. Who You Are You
have at least 5-8 years of experience in an application support
role. Experience with Linux virtual machines, writing SQL queries,
and a technical familiarity with cloud computing (preferably Azure)
is preferred. Experience with SAS Viya, along with relevant
certifications, would also be an asset. CIBC supports the
completion of the SAS Certified Specialist: Administration of SAS
Viya exam and relevant Microsoft Azure training. You have strong
communication skills and the ability to prioritize work effectively
in a fast-paced environment. California residents — your privacy

expected salary range of $115,000-$150,900 based on experience,
qualifications, and location of the position. The successful
candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business
unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a
