Job Description:
The University of Chicago seeks HPC Systems Engineer for
Chicago, IL. Bachelor's in Comp Sci/Electronics Eng/closely related
field +5yrs exp req'd. Req'd: 5yrs: Linux build automation in a
large, distributed computing environment w/ Puppet/Ansible/Git/
Docker; scripting w/Python/Shell/Perl. Exp must incl: Implementing
automation & monitoring using shell scripting; install, configure &
maintain job mgmt tools (SLURM/Moab/ TORQUE/PBS); operating sys
deployment w/XCAT/ROCKS; configure administer & support network
storage subsys (IBM/NetAppl/Data Direct Network/LSI); distributed
file sys (GPFS/Lustre/Gluster); configure, install, tune &
maintain: scientific app sw, performance monitoring & optimization
tools. Background check incl review of conviction history req'd.
Some telecommuting permitted. $95,930/yr - $110,000/yr + Benefits:
